INTERNSHIPS 2
Teaching sensors to think for themselves
— and understanding the business behind them
Two research internships with Prof. Kyusang Lee's Intelligence Sensing Group at UVA, plus a market-research internship at a mobility startup.
BUSINESS — WEMEET MOBILITY
Studying a B2B logistics SaaS platform
Dec 2025–Aug 2026 · Business & market research
WHY
Understanding hardware isn't enough on its own — I wanted to see how a hardware-adjacent SaaS company actually builds and defends a business around its technology.
HOW
I reviewed Wemeet Mobility's IR materials and its dynamic-routing TMS platform, ROOUTY, including its cold-chain monitoring product and Roouty Plus installation-logistics expansion.
VERIFIED
I independently formulated six in-depth interview questions covering regulatory response, competitive positioning against Kakao Mobility and Naver, and growth risk.
WHAT I TOOK FROM IT
Going in, I assumed a strong core technology would mostly speak for itself in the market. Reading through the IR materials showed me otherwise — the same routing engine had to be defended against regulatory shifts, priced around a real partnership risk, and explained in a way that made its cost structure believable to a partner, not just an engineer. Framing questions that a company would actually have to answer, rather than ones I already knew the answer to, was the harder and more useful exercise.
